AKRON MARATHON

Voted one of the best value marathons by readers of Runner’s World for its low entry fee, great swag and hospitable volunteers, the Akron Marathon also has a great course. Participants will run 26.2 miles through downtown, over the All-America Bridge, through the University of Akron campus and down to the towpath that hugs the Cuyahoga River before crossing the finish line, where race director Jim Barnett will shake their hands and congratulate them.
