After more than a year of renovations, this 104-acre park system hub has reopened, sporting a new, earth-friendly welcome kiosk, revamped exhibits and additional outdoor observation decks for spying on native white-tailed deer, coyotes and redtailed hawks. Trails wind through deciduous forests, pine stands and prairie ecosystems. (08/2010)
