Columbus Oktoberfest
Break out the lederhosen for this free festival, which is in its 46th year. Things kick off with a keg tapping followed by events like the stein hoist (a beer lifting competition) the 4-mile Brat Trot and dances by the Austrian Tanz und Spielkreis Dancers. Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival
Reynoldsburg proudly claims to be the “birthplace of the commercial tomato.” At this annual summer fest, sip on free tomato juice, listen to local singers and marvel at the unfortunate specimen that wins the “most oddly formed tomato” contest—one of many tomato-related competitions.
