  • Columbus Oktoberfest

    Break out the lederhosen for this free festival, which is in its 46th year. Things kick off with a keg tapping followed by events like the stein hoist (a beer lifting competition) the 4-mile Brat Trot and dances by the Austrian Tanz und Spielkreis Dancers.   • Milestone 229

  • Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival

    Reynoldsburg proudly claims to be the “birthplace of the commercial tomato.” At this annual summer fest, sip on free tomato juice, listen to local singers and marvel at the unfortunate specimen that wins the “most oddly formed tomato” contest—one of many tomato-related competitions.   • Dick’s Den

    Jazz cats have been hanging in the den for decades, drawn by live music at least four nights a week. Tuesdays are for bluegrass, but it’s all jazz all the time come the weekend. The cover charge is rarely more than $5, and the drinks are dirt-cheap. (08/2011)

  • Dublin Kiwanis Annual Frog Jump
