SIPPIN’ LIZZARD COFFEE HOUSE

This roving concert series is a project of the Flint Folk Music Society, who named it nostalgically for 1960s venues like the Lizzard’s namesake. Many of these Friday and Saturday night folk concerts are held at the GFAC Gallery, but local folkies know where to fi nd ’em when they’re elsewhere.(01/2011)

  • We greatly appreciate mention in your magazine; however, we should be listed under "Go See," rather than "Go Party" or "Go Eat." We are neither a bar, pub, or restaurant; however we do serve great coffee and snacks to our audience. For now we are not a real Coffee House; we dream of someday having our own building. In the meantime, the Greater Flint Arts Council gallery graciously shares its space for most of our concerts. We have found art and music to be a winning combination. (Posted on 24 Feb 2011)
