ORLANDO GO... SEE

CHRISTMAS, FL

Originally settled as a fort in 1837, the town dropped “Fort” from its name in 1892 when the post office opened and started routing mail. Visit the 25-acre Fort Christmas Historical Park to see a replica of the original fort, as well as a traditional Florida “Cracker” house, pioneer homes, a sugar cane mill and historical farming equipment. Send your cards while in town to get a postmark perfect for the holidays. (12/2009)
