- Delicious food! Try it out! (Posted on 20 Nov 2010)
- Seriously good food. And try the brownies -- either the coriander or the chili pepper ones. Both EXCELLENT versions of that traditional dessert, and both guaranteed to knock your socks off. I've been eating Vimala's cooking for years, and it never ceases to impress. (Posted on 20 Nov 2010)
- Original food combinations! Excellent always, great caring service. One word sums it up, YUMMMM!!

- Best Indian in the South!

- I think the freshness and taste stand out because of the local, wholesome ingredients that go into it. There's nothing better! (Posted on 07 Feb 2011)
- Ate one of their masala dosas. I asked if the potato masala could be inside the dosa and they agreed to make it according to my request. The sambar and chutney were some of the best I have ever had. My son-in-law had the same thing. Their masala dosas are simply out of this world. (Posted on 07 Feb 2011)
- I am from New Delhi, and I love all their food, especially their chickpeas. They are not like the chana masala available everywhere else. This chole is a delhi-style chana, and goes very well with their beyond compare samosas. Vimalas' carrot halwa beats any sweet shop in India. Very fresh, colorful and not too sweet. - We ate there on Saturday. No two dishes tasted alike. All the items tasted fresh, distinctly unique and very sharp. Our favorite was the beef curry and the pork vindaloo. Rather unusual for an Indian place to serve beef and pork. I asked and Vimala's son said that they were from Kerala and as Christians were free to serve any meat. (Posted on 07 Feb 2011)
- I ate there on Saturday. The baturas are the tastiest I have ever had. All their fried foods taste fresh and not greasy. Their vegan kofta curry has me hooked on veggies now. Can't wait to go back for more. Their beer selection is better than any Indian restaurant I have ever seen. I want to support them in every way! (Posted on 08 Feb 2011)
- A friend and I stopped in for lunch. The shrimp bisque and the bhatura... O what a winning combination. My friend had the idli-vada-sambar. The sambar had whole okra in it. It was the best homemade sambar I have ever tasted, as good as the sambar in Chennai, my hometown. Chapel Hill is so lucky to have Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe. (Posted on 08 Feb 2011)
- I saw the write up in the Air Tran magazine and had to go to Chapel Hill as soon as I arrived in RDU. This is the best restaurant food I have ever tasted, and I travel a lot, to London, Bangalore, Singapore... wow, Vimala's you've beat them all! (Posted on 08 Feb 2011)
- i am not an expert on Indian food, and didn't even know what to order. The staff were very patient and helpful. I ate the batura bread with the chickpeas. OMG what a flavor explosion. I am going back and bringing my whole office with me. Best Indian food in North America! (Posted on 08 Feb 2011)
- Vimala's food tastes fresh and homemade. No frills, just authentic Indian food in the midst of a whole lot of americanized ethnic food. My favorite was the samosa - perfect crust, with a really delicious and well spiced filling. The chutneys that came with the samosas were the best I have ever had in the USA. (Posted on 28 Feb 2011)
- My child's class went on a field trip to Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe today. Vimala's presentation about food justice, her recipes, the spices and about sourcing food locally was very informative. My son who is not an adventurous eater was impressed with the food and i now insisting on going there for dinner soon. I give 5 stars to this Indian restaurant with a soul! (Posted on 07 Mar 2011)
- Just ate there today. The dosa, sambar and chutney are the best I have ever had. Nice work on the mixed vegetable dish called avial. (Posted on 15 Mar 2011)
- I saw this in GO-Air Tran Magazine and immediately decided to call a friend and go there. I had the whole pan seared fish with chaat-fries and my friend had the beef curry. The food was excellent, reasonably priced and very well presented. The best part was the friendly service which of course makes us want to go back again soon. When in RDU go to Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe, the best food in the country. (Posted on 16 Mar 2011)
- I visited Vimala's on a local food tour. Their food tastes fresh, wholesome and incredibly authentic... this is home cooking! Vimala is a first class chef with a big heart. Our family style tasting portions were very generous. The place is a must go to if you in the Triangle as there is no restaurant that is this good in my opinion. I will go back to have the full dining experience. (Posted on 04 Jul 2011)
