NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

This festival celebrates the blossoming of the approximately 3,750 cherry trees that ring the Tidal Basin, many of which were originally a gift from Japan. The blossoms have an average peak bloom date of April 4, and the grand parade takes place April 10. March 27 through April 11. (03/2010)
