1. Atlanta's Afro-American Experience
No trip to Atlanta is complete without visiting the African American Panoramic Experience. The museum and exhibition center was established in 1978 by filmmaker Dan Moore to present an authoritative and celebratory center for the African American experience of American history. Permanent exhibitions include a recreation of the first black business in Atlanta, the Yates And Milton Drug Store opened in 1923. There is a vast photographic archive, multimedia displays, a film theater and expert guides on hand. www.apexmuseum.org

2. Music to the Ears
The 16th annual Savannah Music Festival takes place from March 18th- April 3rd, transforming the theaters, bars, concert halls and open-air locations of the historic city into a concerto of musical styles. For 17 days, the city will host over 300 musicians, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to the city to hear sounds as diverse as jazz, country, classical, bluegrass, opera and ballet. James Moody, Ricky Staggs and Buddy Guy will appear with artists such as violinist Daniel Hope and sitar-player Gaurav Mazumdar. www.savannahmusicfestival.org

3. Big Apple Dining
Per Se's head chef, Thomas Keller, has now re-opened his $12 million Central Park restaurant at the Time Warner Center complex in Columbus Circle after a three-month hiatus following a fire. With its Adam Tihany-designed mix of browns, greys and glass, the venue is understated and sophisticated. Décor aside, it is the culinary genius of Keller that places Per Se right up there with his Napa Valley tour-de-force, The French Laundry (considered one of the world's top restaurants). The dining experience, based on kaiseki (myriad of tiny portions) is masterful. The chef's $150 nine-course banquet requires over four hours, changes daily and includes such gems as Keller's trademark "Oysters and Pearl" (Island Creek oysters, pearly tapioca, Iranian Osetra caviar pearl tapioca). www.perseny.com

4. Need to Relax
The perfect way to prepare for that business meeting after your flight or just to ease the strain of traveling is a chair massage. You sit face forwards in a kneeling position with the chair supporting you. It allows back, neck, shoulders and scalp to be massaged freely in maximum comfort and is the perfect antidote for tight muscles. Three AirTran Airways destination airports that offer a host of walk-in treatments to sooth and invigorate the body and mind: Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Destination Relaxation at Pier B4 & Pier D (www.destination-relax.com); Denver International Airport, A Massage Inc. Concourse B (on the 3rd Mezzanine level) and in the Main Terminal on Level 6, (303-342-7485); Newark International Airport, d-parture spa Terminal C, Gate 92 (www.departurespa.com)
