ICE, ICE BABY
Orlando nightlife just got a little cooler.
Orlando entered a new ice age in October with the opening of, quite literally, the coolest spot in town. At 27 degrees, ICEBAR (www.icebarorlando.com) is the only bar in North America made out of solid ice (50 tons of it, to be exact). Every six months, carvers will change the theme; currently, it's an ice palace, complete with a throne and fireplace. For the 45 minutes you're inside (the allotted time is part of the reservation system, which accommodates 50 guests in each slot-plus, any longer you might catch a chill) you'll be treated like royalty: For a fee ($30-$40), you'll receive a thermal cape and gloves, as well as a cocktail served in an ice glass-nonalcoholic drinks are available for the younger set. You can also hang out (for free) in Chill Lounge, the swank, Nordic-themed bar adjoining ICEBAR, and enjoy caviar flights.
