ON MARCH 28, 1960, Stanley Kramer was honored with the first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. But there’s more to Hollywood Boulevard than what’s on the sidewalk. Here, Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, reveals his favorite landmarks:

1 ROOSEVELT HOTEL 7000 HOLLYWOOD BLVD
“This was the site of the first Academy Awards, and it has the Gable/ Lombard suite, where Clark and Carole lived. People walk through just to look at the beautiful lobby.” 323-466-7000; www.hollywoodroosevelt.com

2 EL CAPITAN THEATRE 6838 HOLLYWOOD BLVD
“Opened in 1926, this is where they had the Citizen Kane movie premiere. It has a gorgeous East Indian-style interior and is now a theater for Disney; they hold a lot of premieres here.” www.disney.go.com

3 GRAUMAN’S CHINESE THEATRE 6801 HOLLYWOOD BLVD
“The world’s most famous theater, it’s filled with Chinese décor from around the world and is also where the celebrity hand- and footprints tradition originated. It now plays current films.” www.manntheatres.com

4 EGYPTIAN THEATER 6712 HOLLYWOOD BLVD
“Sid Grauman staged the first Hollywood movie premiere here. It’s now the home of American Cinemateque, which shows classic and current movies and brings in actors or producers to speak about them.” www.americancinematheque.com

5 MUSSO AND FRANK GRILL 6667 HOLLYWOOD BLVD
